I have always loved comedy. I used to record Comedy Central Presents, and watch the sets over and over until I knew the jokes. Then I would go to school and perform them for my friends.  But it never occured to me to become a comic. That is, until everything else came crashing down. I’d been a successful teacher and I could make people laugh, so why not at least see if I was any good at it?

I think it’s up to you to decide if I’m funny. I mean the collective “you” as in the world. That’s really the only indicator. Did people laugh? Then you were funny.
